  On 30th March, melodious music came from the Sail Square of Binjiang Park. ‘Art together · Meet Art on the Street Corner’ event special session for foreign teachers of Nantong University was held here. 

  ‘I came for a walk in the park today, did not expect to hear my favourite tango Por una Cabeza. I am very pleasantly surprised!’ Liu Qi, a music lover, clapped along the music, and said, ‘it feels very intimate that elegant art can come so close to us in such a down-to-earth way.’ 

  Wu Rong, the Vice Dean of the School of Arts of Nantong University, said that the street concert brought art out of the campus and closer to the public. She hoped that they could improve citizens’ cultural literacy and aesthetic level by the method of ‘art immersion’, and create a new business card for urban art. 

  From 29th to 30th March, at places including South Street Shopping District (the stage of Nantong Eminent Figures Museum), Wenfeng Park, and Binjiang Park, the ‘Art Together · Meet Art on the Street Corner’ event held a total of 7 performances. Universities in Nantong carried out multiple cultural activities including vocal music, instrumental music, dance, intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, catwalk shows, and artistic practice, in the ways of micro exhibitions, micro performances and micro markets, integrating their respective program settings and artistic resources. 

  ‘Art Together · Meet Art on the Street Corner’ event integrated resources including art teams of universities in Nantong and folk art teams, performed in crowded places such as metro stations, park squares, and shopping districts. The performances are relatively fixed on Saturdays and Sundays. Each activity lasts about one hour. 

  In the future, open recruitment will be carried out to attract more folk art teams to join. At the same time, there will be stations in more corners of the city.

“艺起来·街角邂逅艺术”活动举行

    3月30日，滨江公园风帆广场传来悠扬乐声，“艺起来·街角邂逅艺术”活动南通大学外籍教师特色专场在这里举办。

    “今天本来只是来公园散步，没想到竟然听到了我最爱的探戈曲《一步之遥》，非常惊喜！”音乐爱好者刘琦一边随着音乐拍手，一边感慨：“高雅艺术能以如此接地气的方式走到我们身边，让人感到很亲切。”

    南通大学艺术学院副院长吴蓉表示，此次街头音乐会让艺术走出校园、走近群众，希望能以“艺术浸润”的方式提升全民文化素养和审美水平，打造城市艺术新名片。

    3月29日至30日，在南大街商圈（群英馆舞台）、文峰公园、滨江公园等点位，“艺起来·街角邂逅艺术”活动共开展了7场演出。在通高校结合各自专业设置、艺术资源，以微展览、微演出、微集市等形式，开展包括声乐、器乐、舞蹈以及非遗手作、走秀展示、艺术实践等形式的文艺活动。

    “艺起来·街角邂逅艺术”活动整合全市高校艺术团队和民间文艺团队等资源，在地铁站、公园广场、商圈等人流密集地开展。演出时间相对固定在每周六、日，每场活动一小时左右。

    后期，将会向社会进行公开招募，吸引更多民间文艺团队加入。同时，将邂逅点位向城市更多角落延伸。
