China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan International Railway and Highway Joint Transport train departed from Hai’an

  On 30th May, with a loud whistle piecing the sky, a railway and highway joint transport train of 45 cabins fully loaded with cargo including textiles, electronic products and machinery, set out slowly from Hai’an Railway Logistics Center. The departure of the train marked the launch of full train intermodal service from Hai’an of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan (China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan-Afghanistan) International Railway and Highway Joint Transport train. 



  The train will go north, and is expected to arrive at Xinjiang Kashgar North Railway Station 7 days later. After that, it will be changed to road transport. The goods will leave the border from Irkeshtam and Torugat ports. In about 3 days, they will reach Kyrgyzstan, and then continue to Tashkent, Capital of Uzbekistan, about 5 days later, and arrive at Hairatan, Afghanistan about 7 days later. 

  Compared with traditional railway transport route, the train applies ‘railway+highway’ joint transport. By ‘one consignment, one document, one customs declaration, one insurance’, the whole process of cargo transport is completed by railway and road session contractors together, which perfectly integrates the advantages of large quantity and low cost of railway transport and flexible delivery of road transport, and flexible cargo transportation to multiple destinations can be achieved.

    这趟班列将一路向北进发,预计7天后抵达新疆喀什北站,随后换装公路运输,分别从伊尔克什坦、吐尔尕特口岸出境,3天左右即可抵达吉尔吉斯斯坦,最后将于5天左右顺利抵达乌兹别克斯坦首都塔什干,7天左右到达阿富汗海拉顿。

    相较于传统铁路运输路线,此趟班列采用“铁路+公路”联运模式,通过“一次托运、一份单据、一次报关、一次保险”,由铁路和公路区段承运人共同完成货物的全程运输,完美融合了铁路大运量、低成本与公路灵活配送的优势,实现多目的地灵活组货运输。
