‘The saviour is here!’ At about 6 pm on 20th August, at Guanshan Community, Nantong Innovation District, Mr. Zeng and his group of 6 people rushed forward after seeing Magnus’s family, and thanked the foreigner in front of them together, ‘Thank you for giving her a second life!’

At about 5 pm on 17th August, Mr. Zeng’s sister accidentally fell into the water while visiting Zilang Park. At the critical moment, Magnus, who passed by riding a bike, left the bike, jumped into the lake and swam towards her, pulled her out of the water, brought her to the shore, and quietly left after confirming her safety. At the same time, the security guards of the park who were patrolling nearby, 110 and 120 rushed to the site, and the one who fell into the water was sent to the hospital.

Knowing that his sister had a sudden accident, on 19th August, Mr. Zeng’s family came to Nantong from Wenshan, Yunnan, which is more than 2,000 kilometers away. While taking care of his sister, he looked for the kind person everywhere.

With the help of the community, the two parties finally met on the evening of 20th August.

‘We are very happy to see that she is fine!’ Magnus said. In May 2024, he and his family moved to Nantong Innovation District from Sweden. He works as a product manager in Scania Manufacturing (China) Co., Ltd. in Rugao now. Recalling the scene at that time, he said that his wife found out that someone fell into the water first, he ‘did not have time to think’, jumped into the water to save her in one smooth, seamless move. ‘Fortunately, I am good at swimming, and I have done the fastest possible.’

Although there was some difficulty in language communication, the helping hand extended by the foreign friend in the moment of crisis quietly drew the two sides closer at heart.     恩人来了！”8月20日下午6时许，在南通创新区观山社区，曾先生一行6人看到Magnus一家后拥上前去，异口同声向眼前这位外国男人致谢：“谢谢你给了她第二次生命！”

    8月17日下午5时许，曾先生的妹妹在紫琅公园游玩时不慎落水，危急时刻，骑行路过的Magnus丢下自行车，跳进湖中游向落水者，将其拉出水中，将其带上岸，在确认其安全后悄悄离开。与此同时，附近巡逻的公园保安、110、120等陆续赶到现场，落水者被送往医院。

    得知妹妹突发意外，8月19日，曾先生一家人从两千多公里外的云南文山赶到南通，一边照顾妹妹，一边四处寻找这位好心人。

    在社区帮助下，两方终于在8月20日晚相见。

    “看到她没事，我们也很开心！”Magnus说。2024年5月，他与家人从瑞典搬到南通创新区，现在位于如皋的斯堪尼亚制造（中国）有限公司担任产品经理。回忆起当时的场景，他表示，当时是妻子先发现有人落水的，自己“没有时间思考”，下水救人一气呵成，“幸运的是我擅长游泳，我已经尽可能做到最快”。

    尽管语言沟通略有困难，但国际友人在危急时刻伸出的援手，将两方的心理距离悄然拉近。Magnus表示过去的事情已经过去，一切都会越来越好；曾先生一行人热情邀请Magnus一家到云南旅游……
