Bayer and L'Oréal showcased products ‘made in Nantong’ at the China International Import Expo

At the 8th China International Import Expo, Bayer exhibited 26 innovative products and solutions. Among them, several products under Bayer Consumer Health’s brand ‘Talcid’ attracted people’s attention. According to the introduction from the person in charge, its brand new product, lactulose oral solution, made its debut at this year's China International Import Expo. This product is dedicated to improving intestinal function from the root and providing a better solution for patients with constipation.

‘Including Talcid, our maternal and infant brands Elevit and Canesten, as well as the cold medicine DayQuil/NyQuil, are all Bayer's star products, and are all manufactured in the Qidong factory in Nantong.’ The person in charge said that these health products ‘made in Nantong’ have always had a good reputation in the market.

In the past few years, the Fortune Global 500 company, whose headquarters are in Germany, has continued to increase investment in Nantong. Nantong has become an important base of Bayer’s plan in China. The new plant project of Bayer Consumer Health Qidong Supply Center has completed the construction of the main structure recently. It is expected to be completed in 2026.

L'Oréal, a global leader in beauty products, is also setting its sights on Nantong.

In as early as 2023, L'Oréal China signed a memorandum of cooperation with Chongchuan Economic Development Zone, marking the official establishment of L'Oréal China LUXE Intelligent Fulfillment Center in Nantong. The center will introduce top logistics and robotics technologies, through a big data-driven D2C (direct-to-consumer) operating model, to provide intelligent operational support for renowned brands such as Lancôme and YSL, further optimizing the personalized consumer experience.

近年来,这家总部位于德国的世界500强企业,持续加大在南通的投入,南通已成为拜耳在华布局的重要基地。拜耳健康消费品启东供应中心新厂项目已于近日完成主体工程建设,预计2026年竣工。

同样将目光投向南通的还有全球美妆领军企业欧莱雅。

早在2023年,欧莱雅中国便与崇川经济开发区签署合作备忘录,标志着欧莱雅中国高档化妆品智能运营中心正式落户南通。该中心将引入顶尖物流与机器人技术,借助大数据驱动的D2C(直面消费者)运营模式,为兰蔻、YSL等知名品牌提供智能化运营支持,进一步优化消费者个性化体验。
