Recently, Nantong police officers formed a joint service team, and boarded a roll-on/roll off ship berthed at the wharf of China Merchants Heavy Industry, to send New Year greetings to 20 foreign crew members from countries including Italy and Philippines.

Influenced by the work schedule, the 20 foreign crew members could not leave China with the ship in the short term. As the Spring Festival is coming, many crew members expressed their desire to experience Chinese New Year culture here. Learning the situation, the joint service team got on the ship to deliver Spring Festival couplets, ‘Fu’ characters to the crew members. They taught them how to write the character ‘Fu’ and explained the posting method and the auspicious meaning in fluent English.

In response to the foreign crew members' desire to experience the Spring Festival, the police officers warmly recommended festive activities such as the Nantong Folk Parade and the Langshan Spring Festival Lantern Festival, and provided them with helpful information on transportation routes and safety tips. ‘I've always wanted to celebrate the Chinese New Year, and now I have the opportunity, I definitely want to go to the places you recommended and experience it for myself, and share it with my family,’ said Captain Navi from Italy.

The joint service team also interpreted the latest foreign-related policies and regulations on site, introduced the 12367 service platform and how to access it, and told them to seek help from the police if they encounter difficulties.

联合服务小队还现场解读了最新涉外政策法规，介绍了12367服务平台及拨打方法，告诉大家有困难找警察。
