On 13 May, China-UK Bio-health Project Roadshow was held at Zilang Science and Technology City in Nantong Innovation District. 7 cutting-edge technology projects such as cardiac balloon support devices were presented.

In the past few years, Nantong has introduced globally renowned enterprises and cultivated a batch of leading local enterprises, which promoted the accelerated development of the biopharmaceutical industry. At present, Nantong has 71 pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises and 311 medical equipment manufacturers. The total industrial output value of large-scale biopharmaceutical enterprises exceeded 40 billion yuan.

Dr. Vivek, a representative of global innovative interventional cardiovascular medical device companies, highly valued the roadshow opportunity. He said that Nantong has a solid industrial foundation, abundant resources and capabilities, and a strong atmosphere for innovation, all of which can effectively support the rapid transition of cutting-edge medical technologies from early-stage R&D to clinical application.
