High temperature persists in Nantong. To ensure the comfort and safety of animals in the zoo in summer, Nantong Forest Safari Park arranged dedicated cooling facilities and adjusted dietary combinations according to the lifestyles of different animals.

In the park, the reporter saw that the capybara, white tiger, and hippopotamus enclosures all operated with a 24-hour continuous water circulation system, filtering the pool water to keep it clean and cool. Large blocks of ice are provided daily to the capybara exhibit. White tigers frolic and roll around in the pool, while hippos enjoy refreshing watermelon while taking a cool bath. The kangaroo exhibit features a specially built temperature-controlled air-conditioned room, and the parrot viewing area is equipped with a timed, circulating water mist spray system.

The feeding team optimized the daily feeding program for all species, taking into account their needs for hydration, nutrition, and cooling. The amount of juicy seasonal fruits and vegetables such as watermelons and apples was increased in the entire park.

To make it convenient for citizens to visit in times avoiding the heat during the day, the daily operating hours of the park have been extended to 21 o’clock.

南通持续高温。为保障园内动物舒适、安全度夏，南通森林野生动物园结合不同动物的生活习性，布设专属降温设施、调整膳食搭配。

记者在园内看到，水豚、白虎与河马活动区域均24小时不间断运行水循环系统，池水持续过滤，保持洁净清凉。水豚展区每日会额外配送大块冰块。白虎在水池里打滚嬉戏，河马则一边泡冷水澡一边享用清甜西瓜。袋鼠展区专门搭建了恒温空调房，鹦鹉观赏区设置了循环定时水雾喷淋。

饲养团队优化全品类日常饲喂方案，兼顾补水、营养与清热需求。全园统一增加西瓜、苹果等多汁应季果蔬投喂量。

为方便市民避开日间酷暑游览，园区日常营业时间延长至21时。
