At 9:20 am on 13 August, at the Lvsi Port Fisheries Administration Wharf, the Suqi Yuyun 08096 smoothly berthed.

Unloading, receiving, weighing, and transferring cargo—workers lined up on the shore, sending boxes of goods up the conveyor belt onto refrigerated transport trucks. Beside the conveyor belt, a crowd of citizens had gathered after hearing the news. In the crab baskets, swimming crabs, their claws outstretched, glistened with moisture in their bluish-brown shells. This ship brought back approximately 30,000 jin of swimming crabs, packed into 500 boxes.

‘We set sail to sea on the evening of 11 August. In total 5 ships worked together. This one in the morning is the first ship fully loaded and returned.’ Mr. Gu, who is in charge of Hongshun Aquatic Products, was busy coordinating the reception of goods. He said that the harvest of the first net had exceeded their expectations.

‘We have been waiting for so long, just for this taste of freshness.’ Wang Feifei and his relatives and friends, who came from the Nantong city area, purchased 20 jin of swimming grabs to get an early taste.

‘Premium crabs sell for 70 yuan per jin,’ said Sun Wu, a seafood stall owner at a market several kilometers away. Most of the buyers are local residents, but some are regular customers from other places who order online directly.

Although the price is on the high side, it cannot stop people’s enthusiasm for trying it. Many citizens purchased fresh seafood on site, not only for their own consumption, but also for sharing the delicacies of Nantong with relatives and friends far away.

梭子蟹来了

8月13日9时20分，吕四港渔政码头，苏启渔运08096稳稳靠上了泊位。

卸船、接货、过磅、转运，岸边的工人一字排开，将一箱箱货顺着传送带送上冷链运输车。传送带旁，聚满了闻讯赶来的市民。蟹筐里，梭子蟹个个张牙舞爪，青褐色的壳泛着水光。这艘船共带回约3万斤梭子蟹，分装500箱。

“我们8月11日晚上出海，一共五艘船结伴作业，今早这艘是第一艘满载归来的。”宏顺水产负责人顾先生正忙着调度收货。他介绍，首网收成超预期。

“盼了好久，就为吃上这一口鲜味。”从南通市区赶来的王飞飞和亲友拼单购入20斤梭子蟹，抢先尝鲜。

“精品蟹要卖到70元一斤。”几公里外的市场，水产摊位孙武说。来买的多是附近居民，也有外地老客户直接线上下单。

虽然价格偏高，但挡不住市民的尝鲜热情。现场不少市民选购新鲜海货，不仅自家食用，还将江海鲜味分享给远方亲友。
