On 21 May, Scania NEXT ERA heavy-duty truck regional debut and product experience day was held.
NEXT ERA heavy-duty truck is the first heavy-duty truck product of Scania Group which is equipped with Chinese branding on its body. The truck is equipped with the new generation TD13 engine, PG14 intelligent shift transmission, etc., which has achieved obvious oil saving from the hardware source. According to comprehensive test data, the vehicle can reduce costs by 12% to 20% in China's long-haul freight transportation scenarios.
In terms of safety, the vehicle can be equipped with an L2+ intelligent driver-assistance system, which provides comprehensive protection for driving safety, effectively reduces fatigue during long-haul journeys, and further improves the vehicle’s fuel-efficiency performance.
He Wenkai (Volker Hillmann), Executive Director and General Manager of NEXT ERA heavy-duty truck Sales and Services, said that the NEXT ERA heavy-duty truck will continue to deepen its presence in China’s long-haul transportation market, further enhance its core product strengths, and strengthen its nationwide service network, striving to become a solid and reliable partner for transport operators in creating greater value and profitability.
The first batch of the buyers nationwide shared their experiences via video link at the event: A user from Zhengzhou said that his NEXT ERA heavy-duty truck can save more than 500 liters of fuel per trip of more than 10,000 kilometers on long-distance routes to and from Xinjiang, saving an average of seven or eight thousand yuan per month; A user from Shandong said that his 6×2 model has a fuel consumption as low as 25 liters per 100 kilometers under full load conditions in the southwestern mountainous areas, saving about 300 liters of fuel per round trip, with annual fuel savings of up to eighty or ninety thousand yuan.
Up to now, the NEXT ERA heavy-duty truck has completed its all-round preparations for products, services and delivery, and a nationwide independent sales and service network has been formed.
